VANGHR announces receipt of Eastern Virginia Medical School grant

The Virginia Network for Geospatial Health Research (VANGHR) announced that it was awarded a grant with Eastern Virginia Medical School (www.evms.edu) to conduct predictive modeling of health outcomes and social determinants of health in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. Models will be developed that identify where changes in health outcomes will have influence on social determinants, and vice versa. This is part of a larger effort within the region to tie public health to economic development. Research will be completed by August 2011.
