VANGHR's High Priority Target Area (HPTA) Analysis Tool enables communities, stakeholders, and decision makers to target geographic areas for interventions and policy change. The HPTA Analysis Tool helps visualize and examine the interaction between two health indicators, social determinants, or combination of both, and highlights areas of highest priority.

Currently, the HTPA Analysis Tool can be found in main tool bar of the Virginia Health Chart Book.

Analyze indicators from several different geographic areas and levels (census tract or ZIP code).

When two indicators are selected, the analysis begins. The values of both indicators, for each record, are standardized and combined. Once complete, the results are ranked.

The lowest ranking results are the areas of highest priority and symbolized by the dark red color.
